What an amazing adventure this wedding day was! I drove deep into the woods, to the bride's family cabin, where the day's events were taking place. It would be a small, intimate gathering of family and close friends celebrating Lenny & Brittany’s marriage. A lot of the family's hard work went into this beautiful celebration arranging flowers, preparing firewood, decorating the reception tent, even baking the cake! Everything clearly reflecting the adventurous but laid back spirit of the bride and groom. There was corn hole, building blocks for the kids, a bonfire with blankets and pillows, and my personal favorite – the potato sack race! Brittany & Lenny inspired such a fun but chill celebration. It began in the cabin Brittany’s family knew as a summer home, filled with many wonderful childhood and adult memories. Surrounded by family photos and heirlooms, Brittany got ready with her girls as family bustled around them putting together last minute details. When it was time, Lenny made his way under the a-frame arch, awaiting his bride to make her way from inside the cabin. With a smile like sunshine, Brittany floated down the yard arm in arm with the man who loved her first. Lenny and Brittany joined hands. They shared many smiles and laughs as they made that sweet, sweet life-long promise.

Following the ceremony, we made our way to World's End State Park to capture some ‘just married’ moments. Barefoot and beautiful, the bride explored with her groom. He carried her, as the ground was cold on her feet and helped her along the uneven rocky ground. They held each other close by the rushing water of the stream, quietly celebrating each other and this new journey they were beginning. Then, in good 'ol piggy-back fashion, they made their way to the car, and headed on to celebrate with their family and friends.
